Art, photography and a connection to place.
Kathryn James is a contemporary artist and photographer based in North Devon, England. Her abstract work draws on the natural shapes of the landscape.
The natural world provides a starting point: the shape of a rock, the line of a tree, the texture of a landscape. In abstraction, these familiar forms become a different way of seeing the natural world.
